The “Teaching Is More” Difference

What Sets Us Apart

I know families and students come to me with a variety of needs.  My mission is to support families in the way that works best for them, and that requires flexibility and catering services to every individual client.  Teaching Is More LLC prides itself on offering a diverse portfolio of services, and this document is to allow clients to select which would work best for them and the student.  Teaching Is More LLC charges $80 / 1 hour session.  This includes all possible services I provide and is based on market research and the level of quality, expertise, and qualifications Mr. Pahuski has as an educator and tutor.  However, I recognize not all families may benefit or be able to afford that premium of a cost.  The following services and discounts will allow families and students to select only the services for which they find value.

  • What Is “Teaching Is More?” – Free Consultation Session: Free 20 Minute Session.  I know my services may be expensive and are a big commitment for families.  This session is to answer any questions the Client, Families, or Student may have.  I wish to assure all parties of a quality experience and communicate and address any possible concerns.

  • Friends and Family – Single Session Discount: $20 Discount / 1 Hour Session.  This is a single session discount for confirmed recommendations and references.  Confirmed means that a recommendation signed up and paid for a session.

  • The First Step – First Session Discount: $20 / 1 Hour Session.  This is a single, no preparation tutoring session for brand new clients who may be on the fence about paying more for a tutoring service. Sometimes this can be offered by Teaching Is More LLC as a promotion.  *This session discount cannot be applied to the “A Long Journey” discounts.

  • Planning for Success* – Creating an Individualized Program Premium Service: $80 Prorated / 1 Hour.  Teaching Is More LLC offers an Individualized Plan (IP), which takes into consideration the Student’s goals, strengths, challenges, and more.  This can be created in a scheduled session in a discussion with Mr. Pahuski, or the Client and Student can sit down and fill out a survey and Teaching Is More LLC can create that for the Client outside of scheduled session time at a prorated rate.  Teaching Is More LLC will also offer updates in documentation after sessions on how the Student is progressing in meeting their goals.  *Clients that opt for this option are unable to qualify for the “Traveling Lighter” discount.

  • Traveling Lighter* – Reduced Documentation Discount: $10 Discount / 1 Hour Session.  Teaching Is More LLC can create in-depth notes for the Client and Student to keep everyone informed of what was covered in sessions, how the Student is progressing, and recommendations based on what Mr. Pahuski is seeing.  Clients can opt out of this level of meticulous record-keeping for a $10 discount.  *Clients are unable to qualify for this discount if they opt for the “Planning for Success” service.

  • A Long Journey – Bulk Session Discounts: $5 Discount / 3 Hour-Long Sessions or $10 / 4 Hour-Long Sessions.  Clients can schedule sessions in bulk for a discount.  If a Client books 3 sessions they will receive a $5 discount per each hour session.  If a Client books 4 sessions they will receive a $10 discount per each hour session.  *“The First Step” discount cannot be applied to the 3 or 4 discounted bulk sessions.

  • An Unfamiliar Route* – No Preparation Premium Service: + $10 Charge / 1 Hour Session.  Mr. Pahuski would prefer to prepare for all content that will be covered in the session.  However, I know that it is not always possible for students to know what they may need assistance in their school courses.  This premium charge allows us during sessions to detour to any and all content that was not on the agenda to be covered during sessions.  This service can be opted for as a general premium charge for any and all sessions for the Student.  *While Mr. Pahuski can pick up and help with most content that students may struggle with, he may need to take time during the session to re-acquaint himself with it. It is possible that the Mr. Pahuski may be unable to help with the content without adequate preparation time.  If he is not able to teach the content at Teaching Is More LLC standards, he will not charge for this service.

  • A Dependable Traveler* – Session Attendance Discount: $20 Discount / Every 5 Sessions with Consistent Attendance.  Mr. Pahuski, the Client, and the Student’s time are all valuable.  Teaching Is More LLC would like to reward Clients and Students that are consistent, good communicators, and have limited session attendance issues.  Every 5 sessions in a row that Students attend with no issues and is there for the fully scheduled session, Teaching Is More LLC will reward Clients with a $20 discount on the following session.  While there are reasonable explanations for not being able to attend, this discount applies to all reasons we are not able to attend a session, including rescheduling, cancelling, technology issues, late notice cancellations, no-show appointments, or any other conflicts.  *The Provider will track Client progress towards achieving this discount in the session notes.

  • An Unexpected Detour – An Unplanned / More Frequent / Longer Session Request Premium Service: Cost Varies Per Type of Request.  Tutoring sessions are usually scheduled 1 hour per week.  Teaching Is More LLC can offer short-notice sessions for Students who have more urgent needs like an upcoming test, more frequent sessions than once per week, or longer session requests to study for an upcoming standardized test like the ACT.  The cost of this service depends on Teaching Is More LLC’s availability, the amount of time and work required to accommodate, and the number of other Clients that Teaching Is More LLC has at any particular time.

  • Base Camp – Homework / Resource Premium Service: + $10 or More / 1 Hour Session.  Clients can request for homework, progress monitoring / testing, or other resources for Students from the Provider.  The cost will depend on how challenging the request is for the Provider to create, how much time and research it takes to create or find, preparing a key for the assessment, and any other preparation time.  The Provider can also recommend books and resources that could offer the Student more practice or supplemental materials to scaffold what was covered in the lesson.
